So they decided to take her to the doctor and have family visits and for her to be able to spend time with her family since she was living in a home that is provided by the company. She usually doesn't talk, and arranged furniture in a way to relieve stress and to express herself. But she made it clear that she wanted to go home and that she didn't care about the home that was being provided for her. So they decided on sending her home to see how that plays out and if it'll benefit her and her family.

Day 4, part 2
So I can't give out any specifics of what the meeting consisted of or of the patient due to confidentially. But I can give an overview, so basically she's an older woman who has mental retardation, and she has been with them for years, but she gets frustrated easily and the only way to get her to calm down is to go outside. So the problem was that she wanted to go home and finally be able to spend time with her family... To be continued.
Day 4
Today I got to listen to one of the meetings that the social workers usually have to decide on what it is that they have to do in order to be able to help out the patient and what measures to take for the well being of the patient.
Day 3
My blogs never posted! :(
Anyway, I got to sit in to one of the meetings that they had and it was pretty amazing. Just to actually get a feel of what it is that they do and how they try to help them. I can tell it's pretty difficult for the child and for any patient that is, but the social worker has to be there motivating them in every thing that the do. I was blown away.
